Rob graduated from Stetson University, cum laude, in 1992 with a B.B.A focusing on corporate finance and information technology. He then attended Syracuse University College of Law where he graduated cum laude in 1996. Upon graduating from law school, he returned to Florida and served in the public sector before joining a regional insurance defense law firm where he practiced commercial litigation and insurance defense representing both corporate and municipal clients. In 1999, he joined a Big Law firm’s commercial litigation department with an emphasis in appellate practice, enforcement and collection proceedings, intellectual property, real estate, business torts and contract disputes. During that time, Rob also served as the President of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce and served on the board of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Central Florida Trauma Center Taskforce.
In 2004, Rob left Big Law to be a part of his family’s business, a private school. He served as its President, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel and was in charge of all of the business and legal matters relating to the school. Still wanting to have a law practice, Rob started his own part time law practice to continue to provide legal services to business and individuals. In 2021, the family business was sold and Rob took some time off before joining Blitch Westley Barrette, S.C.
Rob works on the firm’s transactional and business matters, including corporate mergers, acquisitions, contract reviews, risk analysis and claims handling.
